About Us

Hi, I’m Charlie — founder of Surf Sling, husband to Emma, and dad to our little grom Rowie.
We’re a small family of three who spend every spare moment at the beach, splashing in the shallows, chasing waves, and making the kind of memories that stick with you forever.

Surf Sling actually started a long time ago…
When I was a kid, I invented my first version of this exact product.
I begged my dad to drive me to Bunnings where I bought a few bits of rope, a couple of pieces of wood, and wrapped the whole thing up with electrical tape.
It wasn’t pretty — but it worked.

I used to make my dad run and pull me and my sisters along the waterline for hours.
It was simple, wild fun.
And honestly… I never forgot how good it felt.

Fast forward a couple of decades — I became a dad myself.
One day at the beach with Rowie, the old idea rushed back into my mind.
That feeling.
That speed.
That pure joy.

So I sketched it again.
And this time, I built it properly.

With Emma’s support, we spent evenings after work researching manufacturers, designing prototypes, testing ideas, and adding little innovations to make the Surf Sling safer, stronger, and heaps more fun.

What started as a childhood memory turned into a real product — one that has already brought so many laughs, splashes, and “again! again!” moments to our family.

Now we want to share that joy with yours.
